Normal? Maybe.....

Well now that Brandon and I are back home, it seems like we need to catch up on a lot of things. Since Brandon is now a proud grad, I get to deal with the school system. Thankfully, I got a lot of this done before I left, so lets keep our fingers crossed that all goes smoothly and I won't stress out.

The Alps! I was amazed at how extensive it is!
When we got back, we spent a few days hanging out with friends, my family and their new puppy, and Brandon's family and Charlie, who isn't quite a puppy anymore, but he still acts like it. We've made a Greek meal, sat and drank coffee, photographed birds and flowers.

Our appetizers! We made saganaki, olive paste, and simply olive oil and vinegar.  We ate while sipping wine... I don't really know what kind it is, but it was good, and really pretty.

Brandon got me some really nice extenders to attach to my lens so I can get really close to my object. I have to use a tripod, which I never saw myself doing, but it's fun. These are some of the first pictures we've taken with the extenders, and I look forward to playing with them some more.

I admit... Brandon and I sprinkled the water on the rose in this shot.... but we like how it turned out!

One of the days I was back home I went and visited Grandpa a little bit, and then ran over to his house to pick up some china that Grandma had. This is part of a tea set that I found during my treasure hunting. How pretty is that? I love the white on white decorations.

I found this on some of the shelves! I don't imagine it's really old, but still, it's pretty cool because there is no way in heaven I would spend the money on this for myself or a gift!

This little figurine was in one of the boxes I picked up, and I found her when going through it. I think I vaguely remember her, and Cat and I used to play with her when we were little. She's cute, isn't she?

We all had a nice time sitting out, talking, drinking coffee... Brandon smoked a cigar, and I took pictures of birds. I had my big lens on, but when I saw Brandon with the coffee cup in his toes I had to jump up and hop a few feet away in order to get a picture. One of those things that we can't explain his behavior.

I think these are Red House Finches. There is a family of 4 or so living on some of the speakers of the house, and they're kinda pretty!

Some of the yellow finches like the bird bath!

I had to go to work the next day, and when I got back I came home to some roses! Lucky me!

I'm not sure exactly what to do with this blog now that I have it. Perhaps I'll take some time off from blogging and figure out a plan. Otherwise it would just be my life in all it's normal glory.

Until again!

WOW! Those are some great shots.

I have to admit, that picture of Brandon seemed like one of those "notice something in this picture?" kinds of things. I didn't see the coffee cup until you mentioned it.

I need to stop for more cigars sometime. I might be going to the Kalamazoo area to pick up a plow. Is their a cigar store thereabouts?
